I decided to base my final project around makeup looks as makeup is a great interest and passion of mine. I was inspired to do makeup as I was looking through my Instagram feed and came across a makeup look that had notable characteristics shared with Caravaggio's art.
I then decided that my final piece would be transforming common traits of 3 different artists art works and turning it into a wearable makeup look .
I decided to first find inspiration by looking at makeup inspired by iconic pieces of art. The images of the makeup looks I found, shown on the left, in my opinion were extremely outrageous and loud. These looks did not fit my aesthetic and I still wanted the makeup looks to fit into my aesthetic branch. I wanted my interpretation of the makeup to be wearable and to fit into my aesthetic. I then continued to look at different types of inspiration and looking at more of the colour scheme of the artists.
